I've been a freelance graphic designer since 1994. I have worked for various various arts organisations, including Theatre Alibi, The Northcott Theatre, The Devon Guild of Craftsmen and The Contemporary Crafts Fair. I've designed for commercial companies from holiday parks to Commercial vehicle spares suppliers, furniture retailers and commercial estate agents, large scale exhibitions, community housing schemes, finance houses, for musicians and orchestras. I've designed the full range of graphic work from business cards to 25 metre banners. Window displays, annual reports, book design, sales brochures, press ads, CD packages, leaflets, singing Christmas cards, heat sensitive mugs, more press ads etc, etc.

1988 – 1994. The Big Idea, Exeter. Studio Manager and then Creative Director.
General graphics – posters, flyers leaflets, press ads. Rebranding for many local radio stations all the way from corporate identity to the application of the branding to vehicles, buildings, print, and promotional material for events and features.

1986 – 1988. Devon and Cornwall Police, Graphic Designer.
Flyers, leaflets, newsletters, promotional stuff like tee shirts and key rings etc to tie in with campaigns.

1981 – 1986. The Reprographic Centre, Crawley, Sussex. Studio manager in a large print works.
Anything that came in through the door from stationery, labels, flyers, sales brochures, books, exhibition stands and press advertising.

1979 – 1981. Readers Union, Newton Abbot, Junior Designer and then designer in a large studio
Readers Union was Britain's largest group of Specialist book clubs. So designing monthly newsletters, flyers, leaflets and press ads. Also book jacket design for David and Charles.

1978 1979. Job Creation Scheme. Torquay Museum.

1977 – 1978. Job Creation Scheme. Torquay Schools Museum Service.

1974 – 1977. BA Honours degree from The Polytechnic Wolverhampton.

1972 – 1974. Arts Foundation Course at Birmingham Polytechnic.
